The game’s great success not only made it a fan favorite, but it also made Riot Games a major player in the gaming industry.
VALORANT: The Light Goes to Leo Faria
The event took place at the fancy Resorts World in Las Vegas. Leo Faria, who is the global head of VALORANT and the VCT commissioner, took the stage to take the prestigious award. In his moving victory speech, Faria thanked the Esports Awards committee and, more importantly, the VALORANT community for their hard work.
Faria used the chance to talk about VALORANT’s amazing year in e-sports. Three new international leagues successfully launched. It’s by the work of thousands of Rioters, such as professionals, teams, commentators, viewers, production crews, and competition organizers. Faria did thank the players, the community, and the passionate fans, but he saved a special place in his thanks for them.

VALORANT’s win wasn’t the only good news; Riot Games was named Esports Publisher of the Year. As the party went on, each person was given an award for their outstanding accomplishments to e-sports. In Evil Geniuses, Christine “Potter” Chi was a key player. She won Esports Coach of the Year, and Max “Demon1” Mazanov was named Breakout Player of the Year. The Esports Desk Analyst of the Year award, given to Mimi “aEvilcat” Wermcrantz, was the cherry on top.
